Heirloom Acres CSA Share Policies

CSA stands for community supported agriculture. As a member of a CSA you are becoming part of my farm family. You will take on the inherent environmental risks that I do each season. You will have access to locally grown organic produce and flowers. Each member will receive a weekly newsletter which will include, recipes, cooking inspiration, and the ability to customize your share. As an extended member of my farm family I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Because of you, I am able to live my dream of growing food and flowers to reconnect my community back to their food.

I hope you choose to take part in our member only events throughout the season, it is our best way to share in our harvest and build community!

When you become a member of Heirloom Acres’ CSA, you're agreeing to these terms:

  • With all of the share options included, our season will run from May through the end of October. There will be a five week break from pick up and deliveries in August.

  • The weekly price varies between share options. Our produce shares range from $20/ week in the spring up to $40/ week for a deluxe summer season share, with different prices for in between shares.

  • I will be planting over 40 types of vegetables each year for CSA members. Each week's CSA box will typically contain 6-7 items, enough to feed 1-3 people, depending on how serious they are about vegetables. If you are looking to feed a larger veggie loving family, choose the deluxe box options.

  • When you becoming a member of Heirloom Acres your sign up will consist of your agreement to pay for your share. Payments are due at then beginning of the season -which helps my farm- or pay in two payments. One due at the time of sign up and one due at the beginning of your share season. Payments will be taken through Square (3% fee). If you need to pay by check or another cash app service, please email me at heirloomacreshomestead@gmail.com to arrange payment.

  • As a member you will receive a newsletter each week on Friday. Through the newsletter you will be able to ‘customize’ your box for the upcoming week by replacing a variety with a different option that is ready for harvest on the farm that week.

  • Through the news letter you will also have the option to purchase extra produce or flowers each week. This will be dependent on the weeks harvest availability.

  • As a member, you are responsible to pick up your share each week. Please be sure to note your pick up day and time for each week. If you are in need of delivery, you are responsible to contact me via email: heirloomacreshomestead@gmail.com to arrange delivery. Your delivery fee will be collected by Sunday of each week to ensure delivery.

  • As a member it is your responsibility to inform myself on or before Sunday of each week if you need to schedule a hold. If you miss a pick-up without scheduling your hold, your box will be forfeited and I will donate your share for that week. If something were to come up last minute, please get a hold of me and single instances may be overlooked.

  • When you use one of your three hold credits during the season, you will receive a gift card code for the weekly total of your subscription as credit. Credits will not roll over into future seasons. The gift card can be used to purchase additional produce or flower bouquets during a week or to shop at a farmer’s market I will be attending. (Info on the farmer’s market will be shared closer to season)

  • During the month of August we will be taking a hiatus which is noted in each share description.

  • If you need to cancel your share to Heirloom Acres, due to dissatisfaction or relocation, please contact me as soon as possible. Email: heirloomacreshomestead@gmail.com Refunds will be assessed on a prorated basis.
