What kind of vegetables will I receive?
Your share each week will consist of the freshest produce available for harvest that week. This season I will be growing over 40 types of fruits and vegetables. With that amount to choose from you can look forward to a great variety from week to week. In addition to the selections I have picked to grow this year, I may be purchasing to include, varieties from neighboring farms who align with my farming practices.
Where can I see a list of crops for this season?
Check out the Recipes page. This page shows most of the varieties that I will be growing. In addition to receiving our weekly newsletter that will include the contents of that week’s box as well as a few recipes, check back throughout the season to find extra recipes to try!
Is your produce organic?
Heirloom Acres practice organic farming. Therefore, yes, the produce and flowers you receive will be grown organically. This farm is not currently certified organic by the USDA. I look forward to adding that badge to our farm in the future, but at this current time cost and work exceed my ability.
What if I am unable to pick up my box one week?
Each member will receive three hold credits for the 2022 membership season. Each credit will give you the opportunity to pause for the week. You will be given a credit to your account in the amount of your weekly subscription. This can be used for additional items in the future. Credits will not roll over to future seasons. If you do not wish to hold your box, choose to bless a friend or family member for the week!
What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your share within the duration of our season due to dissatisfaction or relocation, email me as soon as you can. Refunds will be assessed on a prorated basis.
Is this program right for me?
The Heirloom Acres Farm share may not be the best fit for you. If you are only interested in minimal variety or not interested in cooking fresh each week, supporting your local farmer’s market may be a more suitable option for you. Heirloom Acres is looking for attend a weekly farmer’s market in the area. If you wish to support my farm but you are unable to purchase a share you can purchase a gift card HERE to use throughout the season. Also, get on my email list HERE to be notified when and where you can find produce and flowers.
